"Hybrid" maps - ML350CDI

All,

Been spending some time lurking and reading, just committed to purchase a 2011 ML350CDI, and am considering a remap for performance gains . . .

Seems the 350 lump is well tuneable, and achieves decent gains both in terms of HP/torque and potentially MPG too . . .

What's the forum's wisdom on "hybrid"/compromise mapping to try and eek out additional performance without compromising economy (too) much??

I had my 350Cdi BE Sport remapped to 270bhp and 700nm by GAD and it made not a jot of difference to economy when driven normally, but made a huge difference to the grin factor when not.
