I Know Thinking is Dangerous...

The audi ones arent chrome, they are brushed aluminium.....It will look like a Nigerian taxi though if you do it.......!!

Hmmm, Nigeria you say.....

I reckon they know a tricked out bling machine when they see one :bannana:

I think you're right about the brushed Ally though..

Damn, you seen me outside Frankie and Bennys then....

Or my Bradley Road, Trowbridge haunt where I hang out wid de Bro's alongside the derelict MFI...

Thing is... what obscenity are you rollin' ?

:bannana:

i personally dont like them.

You've got them on your 107 :p

yeah but as mercedes designed them!

i think it comes down to, the CLK doesnt have much chrome on it (as with many modern cars), so putting mirrors on looks odd.

the 107 has chrome trim all around it so its fine.

if the 107 came with black mirrors as standard then the chrome ones would look odd aswell. its all down to originality.

if you like them, go for it!

But I have it in my head that chroming the mirror shells on a 2005 CLK would look rather attractive!

I am presently trying to work out the way to chrome them myself.... not that hard but you need a silver spray that costs about £135 for 8oz...

So... Am I barking or would these look bling?

yes and yes

Beginning to sound like a yes situation....

Cos I am barking and I like Bling :bannana:

true but its yours and if you want to do it then do it

Trouble is...

a) finding mirror bodies already chromed... cos I aren't buying those cheesy sleeve things

b) finding someone to do the chrome onto plastic thing...

So, the plan may be a non-starter straight away :(

Sweet Jebus it gets worse.

You seriously want me to use some kind of Fablon?

Wood effect, floral or patterned?

:thumb:

Hmmm, but I would get that ruffled effect where the "Fablon" doesn't quite mould to the curves....

Nice try :D

I am going to buy some aerosol chrome paint and try it out on a scrap piece of plastic... the laydees Citroen C1 looks like a good target to me :D
