Must be something to do with the moon .....

Tuesday night - take JJSWMBO to the local Apple store and get her a nice new shiny Macbook Air to accompany her through the journey that University brings. She has saved some money from her part-time job towards it and I put the rest up.

Tonight - I decide to head upstairs after dinner. Nearly step on the ******g thing as she has left it on the second stair 'because she was going out'. How I never crushed it, I don't know ... maybe it's because I already have an iMac and an iPhone ? Is there a devine intervention app ?

She comes home and wonders where her laptop is. I put it into her wardrobe as it was a sensibly safe place to put it - the case is in the conservatory

I explain why and it's my fault apparently - I should have looked where I was going ....

Anyone want a stroppy, hormonal 17yo that is about to become homeless ?

Thanks for the kind offer LTD but I've already had one of those. It even moved back in for a year after uni!! Luckily now its married and in the next village! I only get pestered to fix things now. :)

Our JSWMBO is the same . Stuff left everywhere and then wonders where it is. Time for a plastic bin liner and just throw everything in it and put it in the garage. Eventually it will dawn on her that stuff is missing

My Father had a very simple rule, nothing on the floor. Randomly he would get a big plastic rubbish bag, collect everything that was on the floor, put it in the bag then tip it out on the front lawn, or leave it out on the street for the rubbish men to collect. You'd get to see it on the way in from School/Uni/Work.

It worked! To this day, nothing on the floor. :):)

It's just a phase all females go through from birth until about 80.

Rule 1. Women are never wrong.

Rule 2. If a woman is wrong, rule 1 applies.

Just remember that and you'll be fine.

Don't worry she'll grow into a woman and be someone else's problem

How long does it take?
Do boys grow up as well?

Boys never grow up. A young lady becomes a woman when she takes said boy under her wing believing she can turn him into a grown up adult. This process is commonly known as "nagging" and in some cases has been known to last an eternity

We have one at 14, she tells me regularly I'm so embarrassing.

I point out I'm a 43 year old man, it's my job to be embarrassing.

I went to collect her from a party recently where she told me to wait outside - I invited to walk home instead of getting a lift. I sat comfortably inside with a drink and she waited until I finished.

Play them at their own game, it's the only way to deal with it.

that's just wishful or hopeful thinking, my 32 year old daughter is not much different now, but she has moved out :D
