I'm getting on a bit and decided a long time ago not to travel to view vehicles so I'm only looking to buy from the East Yorkshire area. I'm quit happy to pay the Autotrader book price but no more.

I can't do that I HPI my cars and have to buy them from the registered owner at the address on the document so that I'm covered by the HPI insurance.
I'm a fuddy duddy like that now.

No probs, but you may not find one is as good nick as mine with that sort of budget. It's mechanically perfect and fully loaded.

Very good practice but I can assure you that HB will not scam you. The point of buying from a forum is peace of mind but don't take me word for it, get some reviews from members who know him and/or have dealt from him, or anyone else for that matter.

I wouldn't think you'd need to HPI a £3k car from a long standing forum member.

I've bought a couple of cars from people on here, one on them was a 500 mile round trip. No regrets!

Really is cutting down your options by not being prepared to travel for a decent car.
A £2 99 Mytextcheck would be more than enough for a car worth only £3k.
But your decision and respect you for that.

I can vouch for HB and the car if you are after a 320 cdi you wont find a better one than this for the money seen it loads of times and its had love and attention second to none, if it needed anything its had it and all from a very well respected Indy

if this is the model you want I can't believe you would miss it by not travelling or meeting somewhere and I can assure you with the reputation of the seller don't even waste your money on an HPI check

I once took all the seats out of my car and set off by myself on a 400 mile journey to buy,dismantle and take home a BMW motorcycle.
When I got there the bike was a shed,it wasn't the one pictured,it wasn't even the same year.
So I drove home vowing never to travel for a vehicle again.
Never been disappointed since.
