Improvements to a W168

Word of advice, only buy bits which you can take off and sell seperately when you come to sell the car.

No offence or anything but I'd personally start saving for the car I want next in 1/2yrs time when your insurance will be abit cheaper, because I'm sure you'll probably end up wanting a change. As there will be a wider range of cars that you can actually afford to insure then.

Oh and don't get Nankang NSII's, they are atrocious in the damp/wet. Good in the dry though.

There is a chap on here who runs NS2's on his rally car , owns a motorsport business and seems to think quite highly of them ?

A few other people like them too.

I'd go for Falken 452's personally , but they are another £20 odd per corner , what do you think of them ?

This is my personal experience of nankangs, going round a roundabout in the wet steering wheel is pointing towards the right and the car is going straight! this is all at about 30mph, That was in a car wasn't even 'that' powerful.

No experience of Falken 452's personally, I have got some Falken Ziex 912's on my car currently though and they are ok, but can't really judge them properly as the suspension geometry isn't set up correctly yet.

Toyo Proxes T1-R's are the ones to go for, around the same price as falken's, only downside is they are a soft compound and wear away quite quickly whereas the Falkens are a hard compound and are much longer lasting.

Other options to consider are continentals/Uniroyal Rainsports but they will probably be a lot more expensive obviously depending on what tyre size you're looking at.

Two and a half years ago l when I fitted the skirts , I made sure they were for the correct length wheelbase :thumb:

I've been looking for an Evolution badge to put on the back, no AMG on at mo, just A210, but keeps coming up with the curvy Evolution for the Mitsu's, I want a 'straight' E word. Anyone suggest or seen one?

Anyway, Mine's an auto and I won it on ebay on Tuesday night, delivered Friday, no RWC or rego. I hope it's ok, I forgot to ask if it has the yellow F on the dash. :(
