Have you got an ethernet cable you can connect directly from your laptop (assuming its a laptop and not a desktop) to the router to eliminate the wireless dongle being the problem? I assume you have an ethernet port on your PC? See if you can PING your router when directly connected.
Have you tried powering off your router and back on again?
the router is working fine on my daughters and mines computers its just my sons that won't connect. I downloaded IE6 on mine and copied it to his and it reinstalled Wizard. ...........and it still wont connect. PS. I've also turned off encryption to try to help. His computer can see the network signal it just wont connect on it!!!GRRRR
Strange that you can't ping the router if the network connection is showing ! If the connection that's on there is set up for encryption, and you have turned it off on the router, you might need to switch it back on again .... see if that makes any difference ?
Belkin have a free phone help line, I have had problems connecting one of my PC's to their router and they spent about 20 minutes talking me through a solution, try contacting them through this website hope it helps
