Car
C220
Only had my C220 couple of weeks
Quite a few ramps on our street
I noticed yesterday a 'clunk' from passenger/rear when I went over a ramp
Sounded like something in the boot but its empty
Its been clunking intermitently ever since
I have a 1 year warantee with the car
Is it a broken spring??
Is this a recognised fault?
Difficulty is making it clunk because it doesnt seem to relate to speed or how big the ramp/bump is, sometimies it clunks and sometimes it doesnt
Could it be a loose exhaust/brake fitting?

 Is the cruise control on or off ?

It probably is a broken spring. They break off at the bottom where you can't see it.

What a shame the groupies can't give sensible answers to sensible questions...

It could be a broken spring ( quite a common fault ) , or a busted shock absorber , or a broken anti roll bar drop link , or any of the other things suggested above .

If you have just bought the car , and it is under warranty , why not take it back to the garage , telling them what is happening , and ask them to diagnose the fault and fix it under warranty ?

Welcome back DM :)
