Is this as rare as he says?

They're very rare in the UK, common in Germany and the USA

The USA never got 4-cylinder W124s - just sixes and eights

MrMotul glad to see your back on here.

What you driving now? Still got an E500?

Unfortunately no, all my toys went when I ran out of the toy's fund:(

Driving a W210 E220 CDI and doing the Knowledge of london, but keeping my eyes open for a very cheap facelift 210 E55.

Sorry to anyone concerned for the hijacking of this thread,

Regards,

Terry.

You did not get my point. On this old cars spec and condition is more important, don`t judge a car by the wheels.:)

I did get your point hence the note about wheels being changed, as regards spec it didnt have any did it? cloth trim.

Regardless the point i was trying to make is it doesnt look anything special and the terrible interior trim.

It could almost be any £500 124

I don`t think we are talking about the same car:confused:.The one i`m talking is the link on post 16

I quite like the trim, but the exhaust and wheels put me off, the one on German Ebay seems very nice, it appears the Germans tend to look after their cars better than us, when on holiday this year in Jersey there were a coupleo f Germans, one with an immaculate early Omega MV6, and another with a very nice '91 ish 5 series.

I sold a W210 E420 Estate which was a german import as they never sold the 4.2 V8 in the UK earlier this year and I think if it wasn't unique in the UK must have been one of barely a handful. Out of interest that went to Romania though he's an ex-pat and will be coming back each year to get it MOT'd! So although they're fairly common in Germany they're rare as rocking horse droppings in the UK!

With this W124 I Shame it's not an estate, as a matter of interest James did you get offered it via the trade or was it an advert you responded to.

It was through a well known trade website. I'll looked into the advert and noticed the reg and I know who bought the car... Let's just say the 420E Saloon at Karhouse has a tidy mark up on it...
