Nice website and easy to use.

I'm looking for a new Sprinter (or possibly a VW Crafter) at the moment and I've bookmarked the site for regular searches. :thumb:

The Sprinter and Crafter are built side-by-side in the same factory.
Many of the components and body panels are identical. I've had my eye on a 318 Sprinter for some time (3.0ltr V6 twin-turbo diesel) but think the VW is a better looking vehicle.

One thing that may sway me to buy a VW is cost, but another (I never thought I'd say this) may be performance.
I had a test drive in a used V6, 180bhp Sprinter 318, yesterday (since superceded by the 190bhp 319) and was surprisingly underwhelmed.
It's possible that my test drive was too brief to appreciate all the engine has to offer, but I expected more.

I had a VW Crafter (136bhp) on hire a while ago and it felt quite pokey, so a test drive in the 163bhp model is imminent.

We shall see. :)

John r weir are generally more expensive and they were sticking to their guns on price. They wanted an extra £4k off me for the same car but without leather and sat nav. In the end I bought from London and had a nice drive up.

Consider a Renault Master too.

I've never considered a Renault, Nick. Any good?

If I stick with a Sprinter, I'll still be get the valuable advice on MB Club and be able to fix a lot of things myself. Plus I have the advantage of having EPC, WIS etc.

Renaults/Vauxhalls are better vans that Mercedes, admittedly they don't have the glamour that goes with the star badge, but 100k 3 year warrenty and loads of pre-regs on offer:

Pre-Reg Movano L2 H2 FWD 2.3 CDTI 100PS 3500kg Saving 35%!!

Plus while a Sprinter will start to rust at 24 months, when have you ever seen a rusty late Master/Movano?

Also note that Mercedes have teamed up with Renault to supply technology for future Mercedes commercials....
