Ah, but that's the problem. If I say on here, it's defo 1 October (for example), unless I pay 50% of the cost (approx. £600), it's not reserved at Buckmore Park and someone else could take the date. I would have to pay the deposit to guarantee the date.

At Castle Combe, I could simply reserve the date which they would hold until approx 30 days before the event when I would pay the minimal deposit; the balance being paid on the day.

That's why I'm just trying to get a feel for how many are interested ... and it's not looking good

a 50% deposit is steep anyway.just negotiate with them. if we have 10 who are in now then thats enough for a significant deposit if we all stump up a little bit. 30% deposit now, and guarentee 20 odd people. i reckon i could get a few people from Brabus SE to attend at a push.
