Myself, i use this pouch when storing key overnight or when not in my pocket.

It's a joke and must be affecting insurance premiums. Perhaps MB's solution will be to supply a pouch with every new car.

Or advise customers to double-tap the key(s) to deactivate them when the car is parked up overnight...

This comes up every now and again and it’s such a huge flaw in the keyless go system.
To repeat a tip that’s been said before.
Best to disable your keyless go at night. The way to do that is to press the lock button twice in quick succession, the red light on the key goes on for two seconds and then keyless go is disabled.
To reenable it press any button on the key.

That's me double click every night, and usually check the door won't open.......
Keyless go is a bit pointless in my opinion.

This is what I do, but be aware that you need to disable your spare key as well and you could accidentally re-enable the transmitter by pressing the unlock button.
Don't think the double-pressing technique works for older cars, not sure when this was added.

What’s the point of keyless go if you need a steering lock.
The initial aim of keyless go is ease of entry and exit which would be spoilt by having to unlock/lock a massive steering lock each time you go in and out of the car.

Had Keyless on the Renault which I ran for 5 years, the car came with it and it was OK, but certainly not something I would actively tick on the options list if buying a new car. My personal opinion....

Our S205 came with Keyless Go, unfortunately I think it's automatically included in Premium and Premium Plus packs. Would have been quite happy to not have it, and I think there should be a way of disabling it from the COMAND screen options for vehicle settings.
When looking for my next car i discounted all keyless go vehicles, just not worth the risk IMO.
I think it can be disabled with STAR.

Well that's good to know. Thanks. I do think it should be a user option though, especially when there are so many other customisable options.
