I have realised just how cheap an S320/S500 can be - they can be had for 190/124 money!
Now im not thinking of doing this (yet) but has anyone ever done this?
With the powers that be grinding motorists for every penny, it is something i would think of in years to come, (when petrol is O.T.T. price wise/running out, and we HAVE TO find a alternative.)
Does L.P.G. effect performance and would it fit in the boot? (cos im NEVER SELLING)
LPG and Mercs never seem to work together.
LPGing a late SL is akin to fitting a diesel engine and a towbar....
And possibly furry seat covers
Gotta be honest, I'm loving the Michelin man
That's the Ford driver in you....
Certainly used on my estateHas he?Must be an estate
.
Be careful, a cheap W140 is likely to end up being very expensive...
so, so many answers
Alfie,

I have never driven one, but a friend of mine has a 210 E320 with an admittedly older LPG kit in it, and it seems to be fine. And as a rule I don't have a problem with it, honest.
Its just that they don't tend to be associated with the R230, I would also be concerned what it would do to the residuals. I would be less worried about buying a car with the conversion worth 10k , than one worth around £30k.
