Hi all, I'm having a problem with my Vito 108 CDI 2002.
Already go to the garage but the Collant light it still showing,

I really need help, thank you.

Is the coolant level dropping over a short period/a couple of days?

If so, as it is meant to be a closed system, the coolant is either leaking to air (from a bad joint, split pipe, etc etc) or leaking into the engine block, normally via the head gasket.

If the coolant level is remaining the same, the likely culprit would be the coolant level sender unit/switch being faulty.

We really need more description of what is happening to be able to help further.

Had mine come on about 5 miles into a journey, the car hadn't had much use the previous 6 months. Wasn't able to stop immediately as I was on a motorway, drove on cautiously with one eye on the temperature gauge which continued to read normal. The warning light went out about 8 miles later. Checked coolant level when I got home, it was OK. Done another 1,000 miles since, light not come on again. I came to the conclusion that this was a false indication, perhaps the float switch had become stuck.

Thanks Giantvanman and SLKNick for replys, tomorow I'm going to the Mercedes garage for a full checkup...

So your going to the Mercedes garage for a check up, what's happening to the van?
