Manual gearbox reset - "no such thing" says dealer

Main Dealer tried to make me look an idiot today by saying there was "no such thing"...

They're the same guys charging £1400 labour to replace a £20 gasket

I think he's probably right, it's the adaptive learning (which in turn tells the gears when to change) that this process is supose to reset (I think!). I'm sure someone will put me right.

Indeed they will. It's a MANUAL gearbox the OP is referring to.
