McLaren P1 in the local £5 car wash

I drive, not interested in buying a car to pose around in worrying about puddles or pot holes high kerbs I might scratch my AMG wheels on,

I drive too and I'm sure I end up posing around ;) - but potholes and high kerbs I avoid like the plague - I'd be just a bit silly not to wouldn't I?

Sometimes they are unavoidable, but of course I don't intentionally stuff my AMG alloys into places that going to damage them but I'm not going to piss everyone off by parking 2 foot of the kerb or swerve across the road into oncoming traffic coz there a bit of road damage.

I love nothing more than spending hours polishing the Merc take it for a quick pose down to *<insert favorite place with lots of people to look at you>*
I might even catch my self in a full length shop window to see how I look with everything sparkling :)

The main thing is you should enjoy your car in a way that suits you.

If it is indeed owned my McLaren then it was probably on loan as a press car for test* just a journo getting it buffed before returning it.

Common sight in London, apparently....:

It's not just the scratches I worry about. They use caustic in the cleaning products as it's cheaper. This just strips all that polish you've spent hours putting on and dulls paint on the window strips.

This particular car belongs to a place that hires-out supercars, their garage is adjacent to the car wash.

They have a rather impressive collection of cars, I must say... most are supercars, though some are classic cars. Oh, and in between they have a Morgan (Plus 4 I think).

It's nice to see they also offer a tax return service whilst your car is being washed.

Must be central London.

This particular car wash is frequented by black cabs and minicabs, hence the tax return ad.

To my shame I must admit that driving a black C180K I was on occasion offered a 'taxi discount" :(

A bigger crime is the colour!

As said above, that's not a P1 ;)

Surprisingly, it looks a lot better close up in the flesh. They also put a lot of flake in the paint that gives it a real 'pop' in sunlight. Saw a couple last week and I was surprised how much better the green and orange were in person...
