Hello people,
first of all moderators please move my post if its in the wrong section.

Hello again people :)
Well I've bought a new E220 CDI Elegance, after driving my dads 320 i started loving the E classes, i then decided to buy the E220 as its more economical and ok with the power and also because im still in uni so it suits me better.

Now my E220 has the standard exhausts on the left side, i want the sport/avantgarde look, exhample here:

My question is, has anyone done this before? Is it possible?
Should i get the full exhaust from a breaker/dealers or is there any other way?

Recently i found someone in Germany (ebay=) selling the exhaust type for E220, it was a simple add on where the pipe gets extended from the left to right side but i didn't win the bid..

Hope you can help, because im seriously stuck,.....

i thought that the two-sided exhaust fitting was for the 6-cylinder car - which your dads 320 is - but your 220 is a 4-cyl engine and has single sided exhausts.

I might be wrong but I thought that the left and right were dedicated systems for each bank of the V6 - so it might not be as easy as you think to get dual sided exhausts.

welcome to the forum tho!

Hey gkerr4,

exactly what my dad said, but I've seen few E220's with kleemann bodkit and exhaust on it, the kit comes with two sided exhaust aswell, i had a thought about that option but i dont like the square shape of those tips, i like the round ones :)

MB went the cheap route on the V6 exhaust - it joins into one after the manifolds and splits back into two after the rear box, so only one set of silencers. While it may be possible to fit the twin exhaust on the 4 cylinder engines, with some work, remember that you'll need a rear bumper, too.

Hello,

hmm, I can see the topic died out and so did I lol!
I kinda forgot about the upgrade but now found a E CDI exhaust which is the double sided one, link:
Mercedes Benz W211 E Klasse Auspuff rechts+links bei eBay.de: Auspuffanlagen (endet 02.05.11 18:08:00 MESZ)

does anyone know if it will fit to the e220 cdi? Or is that impossible?
Thank you

I can't tell you specifically about your car. But there are things to watch out for when trying to make up a twin side or quad exhaust. Speak to Eldin at EMP Performance. empperformance.com

If you buy a standard dual rear end you have to make sure that your spare wheel well is not in the way of any rear boxes. You also may have to get some heat shields fitted. EMP will make you up pretty much whatever you want. They did a stainless quad rear end for my wife's C240 using a one into two silencer. Looks OEM and sounds good.
