mercedes 500 sl w107 hardtop ice blue lady owner private plate air con leather 2+2

no plates with NNN AAA where N is numeric where issued in the mid 50s /QUOTE]

For accuracy, I've had 4 cars, 1961 to 1964 which were all NNN AAA.

I sold two of their plates and DVLA issued their non-transferable replacements, AAA NNN and a new-fangled 'B reg'. RAS 220 went down a storm with the local weed dealers, when I lived in SW2.

Before The DVLC and V5s existed, mid-1970's vehicle registrations were done by county councils, so there was a lot of variation,
E.g. one could randomly get a 1 letter 4 digit (A NNNN) even up until 1964, as they used up unallocated marks.
Top Marques may well have had those offered first, I think.

My grandfather managed to get "S150" on his 1959 Jaguar XK 150S ... no idea how it worked back then!

owner blew the money 6 week holiday in india without mot i do not think they get the money i guess it changed hands as it is now in london

as for the plate value it is subjective

"Last owner 23 years!"

Really? Or am I reading this wrong? Is he saying that the last owner, owned it for 23 years? Or he has owned it for 23 years?

previous owner probably still has v5c to register fresh in the new owners name

It will be interesting to see what it bids to. It would seem likely that it won't be £6500...
