Miles Per Gallon

On The Sl, I manage 250 miles to a tank of fuel, which is really bad but I drive it around london all the time, Its almost £70 to fill up the tank too.

On the CLK I have managed 35.1 mpg on a trip to brimingham following a lorry at between 60-70mph the whole way there, it calculated a range of 477 miles to a tank. Round town its a different story, usually around 260-270 to a tank.

Just picked up my new car from London so in mixed driving I did 37.4mpg not bad for a 3 litre diesel auto even if it is made by the wrong german manufacturer!

Just reached 37MPG on my '97 300TD - 450 from a full tank! Around half motorway, half around town. Marvellous!

1999 CLK 230K. St Mawes in Cornwall to Peterborough. A mixture of roads. Not bad for an old petrol car:bannana:

When the fuel guage on my old C180 started playing up.I used the tripometer and worked
on a basis of 34mpg. It never let me down (eg ran out of fuel) So it has to be 34mpg for me old bangar
