This has just happened totay in this fantasic warm day in which most of you are having a BBQ.
I have an ML with keylessgo and normaly when I open and close the boot , there is like a motorize action to release the doot or a sucking the door when i close it.
But this after noon , I have to strongly close the boot to properly close it but it wont open , the motrorizing opening closing noise has desapeared.
For me to open the boot I have every tipe move the consealed leave from the inside of the car. Has any oner had this problem before ??

I have one of them with keyless go too, sorry I can't help out except that it would seem the motor has failed, or a wire has come loose which you probably already suspect..... I take it all the other doors lock and unlock as usual? Looks like a trip to the dealers tomorrow.

Anyhow, just curiosity where is the manual door release for the boot? ;)

Mark.

You are corret all the other door are OK.
I'll check for loose wiring tomorow.
Thanks

Closing motor stopped working on my ML, it didnt stop me from opening the tailgate, but wouldnt close properly.

Motor was replaced under warranty.

All sorted after replacing with new lock module under warranty and at the same time a new rear SAM was replaced too.

Replacing tailgate lock module is the solution .
It is a sealed unit .

I will be away for two weeks now ,will try to find a copy of fuses designation to post at my return if no one on the forum will before
You can try to just replace the tailgate lock module for now and see what happen
