ml270 front pads

could anybody tell me how to remove the pins on the front brakes which hold the pads in place do they just push out with a drift or do they unscrew in some way, as i need to replace mine.

Use parallel punchers, there's no thread.
I found it easier to just unbolt the caliper.
Saves the pins and caliper too.

i assume if you split the calliper you lose brake fluid and have to re-bleed the brakes.

Thats correct i recently removed the pads in mine to refurb them and a simple tap of a punch/drift pushes the pins out with ease to remove the pads.
