Probably been asked before but ....

Anyone know where I con get a kit to play an MP3 (NOT IPOD!) player through the COMAND on my 2005 S-Class. The blank hole is in the glove compartment, but there is no jack there - so MB obviously decided not to fit it from new.

I've tried a radio sender but the radio is just too 'intelligent' to make this an ideal solution.

MP3 DVD's are OK, but you have to create new ones all the time and I'd prefer just to use my 30Gb MP3 player which contains nearly my entire music collection.

Thanks in anticipation.

AFAIK its just a simple kit, short screened cable and socket from the spares counter which connects into the back or side of the COMAND. There's some glovebox/trim removal to get there but from what im told its quite straight forward. Theres an how to somewhere here I think.

I have this, from scratch though, and the only very slight downside is that the sensitivity, (read volume), of the aux input does not quite have as much ooomph as say the radio or CD/DVD sources. Still ok for me and my Samsung player though as I cant get my head round MP3/DVD/dual layer/folders/sub folders/tags and all that.

Portzy.
