MPG vs BHP

Out of those 3 I know which one I would go for. ;)

Having had mine for 2 months ago I have absolutely no regrets. It's comfortable, looks good and has loads of toys standard.

SPX,I would advise you to try out a TDV8. I have driven one and its a beast of an engine. A remap will take it to 325bhp & 515 lb ft.

The only reason I never went for a TDV8 is because of insurance. The extra premium over the TDV6 wasn't worth it and plus it is not easy finding a TDV8 with reasonable miles at a sensible price.

Food for thought, certainly...;)

I've just registered to that forum to pick up a bit of info Jazz, are you on there under the same username?

My username on there is JasM. It's not too bad over there although its not quite as active as this forum. ;)

I'd have a RRS in a flash, other than the lack of length from the back of the front seats to the tailgate.

I need a decent length.

Nissan pathfinder has decent load length and rugged 4wd performance. We loaded a commercial grade treadmill into one last week. Surprising how easily it consumed the massive machine...

To the original post. As I understand it, the x5 has very little mechanical losses through the drive train, helping to make it much more efficient. The x5 was a much better drive than the 163 on road, but the 164 is so much more refined on the road, I would rather pay a little more and not have to stare at that cheap dash in the x5.

Drove an x6 that a colleague got recently, very surprising car to drive. Shame it looks stupid.

I owned its brother (the Navara) for six months and it had a nice-ish interior and it was quite quick off the mark but they were the only real highlights of ownership; it struggled to achieve 20mpg on a run, the auto box was clunky and I had all manner of electric problems and it was only three month old with 3k miles on when I bought it!

I suggest, you don't discuss your lacking in the trouser department on an open public forum, where everyone knows you John.

If only E class estate's were offered with 4WD in the UK.:(

You just order from a German dealer and order uk spec then you can have 4x4 you have to pay in euro but the German dealer takes care of the registration and will even ship if you dont want to collect.

I'm surprised it took this long for a remark ;).

OK, as long as LHD suits. There are no RHD 4-Matic cars.
