My 17 year old son's W211 E320 V6

Cracking looking e class! He'll soon be in an AMG. Love the kit on it too!

An e320 isn't a hugely powerful car so if you're happy with him driving it I don't see the issue that a few others might. He's used to rwd from the Bmw so a win win. Although I'd maybe advise a session or two at a track with tuition purely for understanding of car control and power on and off etc. I did when I was 18 and 19 and it made all the difference.

I had a cls55 at 21 and was never a danger to myself or anyone else. Insurance was only £1300 too.

Funny you should say that, he has a drifting session at Goodwood booked (in BMWs) ..... :D

Bloody drift boys ;)

Teaches you a lot though!

More of a handling and lap time man myself with the odd bit of drifting! Sounds like a lot of fun though! Surprised goodwood offer drift days actually

Now for the serious question :
How much was the E500, and is it as good as Ollie says ?

Our 17 year old daughter failed the theory test today which was a relief.

She'll be a complete liability when she eventually gets a licence. Some people are just not born to drive.

Haha very lucky. Im 16 my self, turning 17 soon. I buy and sell cars to make some cash on the side, everyone who comes to buy a car is suprised that I buy cars but cannot drive them :P. I normally sell small cheap cars, checking insurance prices on a Golf 2004 for example, both 1.6 or 1.9TDI engines come to £900 insurance. Thats with 1 month driving license and no NCB :D

My 21 year old brother drives a S320CDI LWB! Pays less than £1000 to insure it fully comp.

Honest :D

I know someone that took 7 attempts at the practical... Her car is in a bit of a state at the moment lol.

Very nice car to own at 17, hope the value is appreciated.
