My CLS55 AMG

As far as I know - never had as much dust with the previous alloys - odd!

Note how the extra lines appear in the dash after 100 K.

Best looking wheels for the CLS IMO, so now you have decided to keep it any other mods in mind? I have just retro fitted Distronic might be something to consider though it did take me a few months to get the parts at the right price.
Something I have been meaning to ask you, did you're sun visor lights work after you fitted the dual visors? As the mounting clips look deeper than the copper contacts.

Those wheels really freshen the car up, if I hadn't have found the spilt rimAMG IV's yours were definitely on my list.

Sorry to hear about the work situation too.

Those are the wheels you should have Sean

I like that paddleshift mod. Is there anybody out there that does this commercially? Or any of you DIY'ers willing to take it on if I can send a steering wheel ... ???

Excellent. Thanks a lot. I'd pay you something for your time of course!

Next question, will it work on a 2005 C55 wheel?

edit - your car looks great by the way, I've seen it on PH before.

C55 steering wheel is different to CLS/E

you may need different paddles ..

There is also the chance you might need a convertor box for the paddles to work, if you take off you're airbag and post a pic of what is behind it then we will be able to tell.
If you need the convertor box I have one surplus.

Thanks for all the positive comments guys! :thumb:

Took a new 'photo shoot' today as its done 100k + the new alloys:

Welcome to the how it's supposed to look club :)

One of the nicest looking wheels on any car, classically simple and timeless if you ignore the trend for those awful diamond cut things. The dished rear is the icing on the cake.

By the way, they're IIIs not IVs.

Have the 20" version on the S-Class. Great looking wheels, of course !

Update for late 2015:

Affalterbach logo for the gear selector. I always thought it looked odd on the non-keyless go models to have no logo on it:

Got myself a DAS-6 DA Polisher, I think the results speak for themselves. Amazing considering I dont really know what im doing: :D

A 10 year old car with leather seats is bound to have the odd scuffs. Bought a kit off eBay which dyes the scuffed areas making it look as good as new (apart from the creasing which I have stopped in its cracks now with various products)
