My experience of buying a new Mercedes

Hi Tim,
Did you get any updates?

Mine was due in the UK today, 6th and delivery to the dealer on the 12th.
On the 6th, now all the status says is exited the factory and no explanation.
Dealer now says it will arrive on the 17th. So if anything the transit time is getting shorter!

Before it was built 31st July, Uk, 6th dealer 12th.

I guess a little delay is normal but will keep a close eye on it!

Is anyone else experiencing any delays?

I did. First off they arranged a hire car for me (B class) which is a disgusting blue colour but quite nice.

Then, I got a call and my car has made it to Zeebrugge and is awaiting a ship. Pick up should be next Friday, but the dealer said anything may happen so only pencil it in!

There was a problem on the production line in Bremen. What the problem was he still doesn't know, but it wasn't specific to my car.

I'll post piccies when I get it.

Worried that they may lose it again, and unable to move work commitments my wife just went up there to pick it up. A couple of images attached!

Thanks, apparently it arrives at the dealers on Friday and I can collect it Sunday

After your experience though, will believe it when I see it
