My new - C32 Estate - Tanzanite Blue

A few weeks ago I made the 500 mile trip up to the Scottish Highlands to visit one of my best friends Mr @Edd1968 who owns a very successful detailing business called The Works Prestige Vehicle Valeting.

The C32 covered the miles effortlessly, I left home at around 11pm and arrived in the Highlands at around 8am. I even managed 29.5mpg! :D

Anyway, when I arrived at Edd’s house he immediately improved the car by assisting me in ripping off the horrible wind deflectors that I had been struggling to take off for weeks. :D

Here is the car as I arrived, as you can see it’s covered in salt from the drive up.

I left the car with Edd and got a flight back home - he immediately gave the car a full wash to remove all the salt that had coated the car on my drive up. :)

More updates to follow, Edd will be working his magic on this car. From the engine bay to the brakes! :)

The drivers side self dimming glass was missing so Edd fitted a replacement, which is now functioning 100% as intended. :)

He also gave the leathers and interior a deep clean, what a transformation.

As well as this the headlights were restored so they now look as good as new. :)

Edd fitted the facelift wiper arms to the front and rear. :) These look a lot more modern.

I would like to say a massive thanks to @Edd1968 for doing this for me, I couldn’t ask for a better friend. :)

I’ve linked his company below, anyone who lives in the Highlands, Edd is the person to go to for all your detailing needs!

Here’s the engine bay after Edd fitted these and gave it a wash down, I will post another photo once he has detailed it. :)

Edd also very kindly sorted out the brakes for me. :) I’m sure you’ll agree they look great. :)

Ew no , not the disc hub - black !

Shame the rear caliper isn't as refined as the front as silver highlights it's rough finish .

Painting rough cast fronts is illegal , lol .

Get a new pair that would look awesome ;)

That c3 is looking lovely, Like the new engine cover ! Superb mate

Very nice mate, it’s going to look amazing.

You’ve got me looking at C32’s on eBay now!

I don't get it Lee. You could get a much newer Volkswagen Polo for the same money. Much more tech, so much more modern and efficient engine than some 00's MB :wallbash:
The max speed limit on the UK roads is 70mph so the polo is more than capable.

My brother in laws, friends, sisters neighbour has got one and they liked it so much they bought a newer version when they wanted to upgrade. The new one is even more efficient and is a plug in hybrid which does about 412 miles to a full charge, which incidentally costs around 3p.

They ended up with a brand new one, rather than a used one, as they got a cracking deal. I can't remember if it was on PCP/HP though, they could have afforded to buy it outright, but decided to invest their money elsewhere as they are getting 0.01245% interest.

Having said that, it is your money (well so you reckon, judging by your previous posts you are in more debt than Africa) and if you want to waste it, that is your choice, don't let me sway you. As always though, buyer beware applies.

Good luck on your search and do let us know how you get on. :)

Sorry for the thread hijack @clk320x ;)

The car has been completely detailed by Edd - will post up pics shortly :)

Have also ordered a set of ATE Ceramic pads to go on - less dust and equivalent performance to OE.
