My2013 c coupe sports plus modifications

Good shout. :thumb:

I reckon the continuity will work well and I like the monochromatic look. It'd work on any colour car but especially on a white or black one.

Once dresho's confirmed the quality of the materials, then there could be an onslaught on their website(s) for similar pieces!:D

ha i cant be the only official guinea pig! i braved the grill first and matty merc braved the quad after - i think its kid's turn in the guinea pig spot light!:bannana::p

haha ok i will guinea pig the amg bonnet badge. AMG door pins are on order so i will post pics of those too. Also look like im meeting with Nab to check out the rear carbon spoiler too ;).

Totally agree with magoo great mods you are finding! Love, love, love the AMG I drive, how does it fit? I may very well be interested oh and have told the mrs about the grill and I am ordering a black one as soon as CKS is back although I read reviews on hear about them and they were very mixed... All I can say is they did a first class job for me... Keep em coming doc!!!

Just placed a little order with CKS. Are they away did you say?

Well done to all the brave guinea pigs!

Back when I took delivery of mine (ie before the unveiling of the MY13) I'd guinea pig'd black wing mirrors, black front slats, black boot spoiler & black central chin spoiler. Seems a bit tame now!

cool - remember to check the fitment type of your bonnet badge - as they all seem to vary dependent on model type and will have to match the type you buy

Tell DR NAB i want commission for this sale if its what you need and buys it lol or atleast a 50% of my Carlson front lip lol

Yeah i was on a thread where cks was getting alot of bad press and as you say i haven't had a problem at all like yourself. i think if you have such a large client base not all will be happy.- i think its like one of my surgical bosses used to say

" if you meet a surgeon who says he has never had a surgical complication or complaint he is either lying to you or not operating enough"

I ordered the bonnet badge last night only to wake up to a full refund on PayPal this morning. I am presuming this is because the badges do not fit our coupes :/. I sent a message with my purchase confirming it was a 57mm diameter badge required after I saw something on the advert saying 42mm. Any thoughts on where to go from here?

im guessing that your correct they didnt have your size - either in stock or not ever - there are quite a few ads on ebay - and your correct think the best fit size for the coupe is 57 or 57.5 which there are few for - i havent purchased the badge yet as waiting for my i drive to arrive - if the idrive is very good quality i will get the badge from the same seller. not sure what 42mm would fit??

this link to a thread may help you re fitment - also gives you link to ebay seller that has correct fitments

http://mbworld.org/forums/c63-amg-w204/433154-c63-hood-emblem.html

i may go for the badge used in that thread or badge number 3 on my original post (the black and chrome mercedes star). still torn but will decide soon!

have ordered both idrives so will see which is best quality/look and decide which badge after that

Just placed a little order with CKS. Are they away did you say?
Yes closed for annual leave, office is open from the 2nd September I think he told me when I was there. Not long for you to wait!!!

To be honest it's out of my hands now, the mrs really likes it although I wasn't happy the other day when she rang up from a meeting in Manchester saying she had reversed into a barrier in the car park!!! Luckily no damage done the diffuser just popped out so I pushed it back in, no scratch or anything... The reversing sensors are taking some getting used to I must admit totally differant to anything i have had before. I took it out for a spin on Sunday and it's bedding in nicely. On average getting 56mpg and around 600 miles from a full tank. In a way I wish I had gone for the petrol but when I look at what the mpg is and the mrs is no petrol head I am learning to live with it! It is bloody fast for a diesel and handles well around country roads so I learned on Sunday!
Regards the I drive I am torn like both the AMG ones maybe with the look you are going for the plain black AMG is nice but they both look stunning. Bonnet badge you definataly in my opinion want the black 3star badge, that's the brand and to me matches the grill... Hope that's of some help but you seem to be doing ok doc!!!

cheers matey - appreciated - yes thats the exact reason i liked the 3star black merc one the best as wanted to retain as close to the original badge - just wanted it black !lol and does highlight the grill!think decision is made just got to check the bonnet fitments

The sensors are really delayed!well from what ive noted unless its my erratic driving lol

Not sure if this is the same link to the same badge but just seen this one which also confirms A) 57.5mm size and B) spring clip fitment. So it seems to be the one we need for the C Coupes. So may order this and see what the quality is like.

This said I have seen the same badge in genuine Mercedes packaging on numerous occasions whilst on the search, which is making me think it must be available from Merc :/

I'll get round to posting pics eventually - but I'm in Scotland & it's been raining since Christmas, so good days have been few & far between for getting a picture of the car when it's clean!

Re comments: member opinions are always welcome - that's why we do these posts! Fortunately, we can all follow our own path and my opinion is that I like making a car unique & personal, but I stop short of changing it into a different model. There's no debadging the C350 emblem in favour of a fake C63 one for me. I agree that's a mod too far.

Question: can the 'Blue Efficiency' badges on the front wings be replaced? I'm not sure a 3.5L petrol car can seriously carry them & don't think they're really what I want my 'personalised' car to say about me. Those badges say 'pretend' green credentials more than any modification I could think of.
