My2013 c coupe sports plus modifications

I'll get round to posting pics eventually - but I'm in Scotland & it's been raining since Christmas, so good days have been few & far between for getting a picture of the car when it's clean!

Re comments: member opinions are always welcome - that's why we do these posts! Fortunately, we can all follow our own path and my opinion is that I like making a car unique & personal, but I stop short of changing it into a different model. There's no debadging the C350 emblem in favour of a fake C63 one for me. I agree that's a mod too far.

Question: can the 'Blue Efficiency' badges on the front wings be replaced? I'm not sure a 3.5L petrol car can seriously carry them & don't think they're really what I want my 'personalised' car to say about me. Those badges say 'pretend' green credentials more than any modification I could think of.

certainly agree with you on all points there and never discourage varying opinions its how we all grow but i think the way some are made (absence of tact) or sweeping negative generalisations (with reference to everything in life - not just cars) benefit no one. Especially as yours and mine reasons detailing are the same (to personalise) i hate some one trying to tell me blindly im trying to make it something else.

i dont like the blue efficiency badge either - it certainly can be removed and theres a few threads on here about how best to remove them

but what to replace with:dk:

I removed my blueficiency badges from the wings no problem. The are attached with the same self adhesive foam tape like most badges. For me they literally pulled off and I removed the last bit of glue residue with WD40 and then polished. Very quick and easy job.

I'm thinking the same about the 'sport' badges on the sport plus I've ordered. It doesn't seem appropriate to me on a car of this type and price. I may change my mind when I see them in person but it might look stuck on like one of those '16v' etc stickers you see on small hatchbacks!

yes felt the same hence opted for the debagde before it my sports plus was made - you would think they would come up with a design that would compliment the care - the sline badging on the mrs audi is so much better so i dont get why merc and amg cant find something more aesthetic pleasing in my opinion.

let us know what you do and post some picks of your new ride when you get it!:thumb:

hi guys contacted the parts department and confirmed that mercedes dont do the spoke star badge with the black surround on any models as an official part(not even the black series) so this is something that will purchased aftermarket on the sites highlighted - on a bonus the parts department were very helpful and agreed to fit it for me and the door pins free of charge if i drop by next week.

Will do. November seems so far away! I'm pretty sure the sport and cgi badge (if there is one?) will be coming off but will keep the C250 one.

year the dealer wasnt sure if i could do that (well there were loads of little bits they were on suyre of but to be fair there werent given alot of info) so i just opted to have all off - i may get the c250 put on as magoo said does look good debagdge but can seem a bit bare - the c250 lettering is the only bit i like - been trying to find the lettering in high gloss black as will go well but yet to find the right quality

Har-de-har! Beaut!

you know you are purchasing it this very minute;)

That's one part of the car that lets down the look for me. Those stickers definitely need to go.

I wasnt sure I wanted to take them off (even though I didn't like them) as I didn't want to leave a mark/ or worse. But other posts on here seem to confirm that it's quite easy, so their days are numbered. But Dresho's right too, where he asks: 'What do you replace them with'?

The C63 wing emblems look great in comparison. If only MB had applied similar taste to the rest of the range. :wallbash:

Was messing about online earlier, looking for some parts to add to the coupe when it arrives in November. I recalled some chat on here of adding front splitters but didn't think this splitter was mentioned previously so thought I'd post it in case it takes anyone's fancy. Bit on the pricy side IMO!

Mercedes C-Klasse W204 Tuning mit einer Carbon Frontspoilerlippe von Chrometec

mate love it!pricey but most things that ae good are!could be an alternate if carlson cant source anymore - also love the fact the car has the same cks grill on!:thumb:

My thoughts exactly. I like it. It's quite subtle but too pricey, which is a shame!

A search on google provides that it is made by Piecha Design www.piecha.com a German tuning firm. Might go in search of it at a cheaper price.

Let us know how you get on. Agree it's a bit pricey for what looks like a very small part compared to the splitter dresho's found before. :dk:

Sorry to Dresho for hijacking the thread...last post on the subject I promise!

There don't seem to be many places doing the lip for the c class - mostly the version for the C63 only (I note that CKS are selling a primed C63 one on their website and could maybe source a c class one if asked). http://www.cksperformance.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=27_71_41_109&products_id=10798

As far as a cheaper one I found this http://www.cargym.com/mercedesbenz-w204-c63-amg-style-carbon-fiber-front-lip-p-2442.html

I'm not sure if it Piecha or a copy but it is CF. Im not sure of the site or how much shipping from the US would be though.
