Needs advise

Hi i got friend who's got 230 compressor C klass 1995 manual
and his gearbox just packed up big time, basicly car needs new box ,
my question is what other benz has same gearbox if any ?( apparently i was told that this c230 were fitted with 3 different boxes ?)
for example 220E 1992 -1995 ,
and if you guys now some one who has them PLEASE let me know

Manual boxes are fairly easy to refurb.. where in the country are you?

If you know some one who sell them please let me know
my mate has little kid, and 2 jobs and no wife, , we do help him by taking him to work, and stuff like that but you know what i mean
