pics to follow, but what a palava!
After 5 months of looking for one, all set to go pick a nice E55K up, private sale, when i was messed around by the seller who wanted to wait a few weeks more for the V5 to come back, then he wanted me to bring witnesses for the reciept etc etc even tho he had agreed to go ahead on mutual trust and a full reciept basis.
In the meanwhile, another E55k turned up at the stealers better spec(see below), so i went and saw it, in its "just got in from the customer" state, liked it, put a deposit down, ready to pick up 3 days later after it was fully prepped, sales guy was arrogant and if it wasnt for the car he would have lost the sale.
phoned the other guy up and told him i wasnt buying his as he messed me around and wasted a days worth of annual leave and a few days insurance for me!
well, the day came round, went to pick it up, but.... there was still a small dent on the rear wing, car was dirty, few scratches which i hadnt seen before... and to top it all off they scratched the windscreen whilst trying to repair it. fair enough, the sales guy said it had been rushed and would sort it out, new screen, dent out, scratches on door handle and bootlid looked at. told him to take his time as i wanted it done properly and didnt want a wasted trip.
few days later went to pick it up, screen was fine, dent was out, but the scratches werent touched, and the car was filthy from a shoddy valet. I was fuming, luckily the sales guy was on holiday and I ended up speaking to the finance guy and the MD who agreed it was beyond a joke and would get it sorted. I drove the car home and then 3 days later a 59 plate e220 cdi was delivered and mine picked up.
Tommorrows the big day now, MD rang to apologise once more ,said it was all sorted, and the car was fully valeted (as it should have been from day one).
Cant say my first purchase from the stealer has been a pleasant experience, but they did sort it all out pretty quickly.
anyway enuff ranting, this is what ive bought;-

seems like this guy basically ticked every option on the list, saved me ££££ in retrofits :bannana: managed to knock the dealer down a bit due to end of financial year, and get the 1 years approved warrenty!
