Hi all ,just a quick intro ,Having been vw for a good few years ,bought me a cheap merc to start with :)
Picked up a 2002 E240 advantagarde (whatever that means) its really nice to drive
Anyway 1 owner 214k taxed and tested full MBSH from new for £350 from a family friend .
How could i say no ? i think the tyres are worth that alone !

Only problem on it is dipped lights dont work at all ,its apparently had new bulbs so i guess ill be busy this week :)

But loving it so far

Hi. and welcome to the forum:thumb:

thats serious bargain, well done.im new here as well but the support is second to none if you have a merc issue to sort out.

Yeah im not sure exactly what the w numbers people use are yet ive looked at the log book and my chassis starts with w and the first numbers are 210 so maybe its that ?
My car seems quite low and has 17" alloy wheels ,full leather, all electric ,and climate control ,muti function steering wheel its a 2.6 V6

Been searching on here it seems i have xenon lights as it has the big connector with the warning high voltage on it .

So maybe this light problem is worse than i had hoped !

I cant believe how quiet this car is !! ,ill post some pics tomorrow :)

Yes, that'll be a late W210 rather than an early W211. Can't complain for that money, though!

Hopefully the lights thing will be as simple as a fuse gone. The expensive bits are the ignition modules and the burners ("bulbs"), but there's one of those on each side. If neither works, this suggests a problem "upstream": switch, fuse, wiring or relay. Good luck tracking it down.

If you get the MB bug from it, you'll be staying with the marque.
