Hi all,
i am tony 44 from London and have been driving my alfa gtv 2.0 TS for the last 12 years and now feel with age that i can finally go for that convertible
I have looked, studied, compared, dreamt of various cars from Mx5, to the new alfa spider only to be told that chain belts are problematic, or boot too small etc
The top 2 were chosen as my ideal car
alfa spider 2.4 diesel or slk200 1.8
my mechanic advised me to steer clear of the 1.8 due to leaking oil issues and time chain issuesn
damn i thought, unreal !!!
however, he advised me the v6 3 litre would be the one to go for but i thought no way, tax will be sky high and the insurance
however, it appears the co2 on the 3 litre is not that bad and annual tax is aroud £290 and my insurance is not that bad, so, my question is from you pros, is the 1.8 that bad, and should i go for the 280
thanks all
