New member with 2012 C63 Estate

Good evening all,

I bought my C63 last month and am delighted with it! I bought a brand new black C63 estate with the performance pack and factory LSD in 2013 and then sold it in 2016 in order to pay for a new kitchen. I've regretted it ever since, especially as the kitchen did not sound anywhere near as good! After a few hot hatches (Abarth 595 Comp, Focus RS then GR Yaris), missing out on two 507 estates last year (when they were cheap!) and much checking of autotrader, a performance packed estate finally came up for sale. No LSD (factory ones on a PP estate seem to be very rare), but I might get a quaife fitted in the new year. Anyway, I'm looking forward to many years of AMG motoring.

Blimey! Unfortunately I don’t have a C 63 AMG but if I did then I don’t think I could leave it unused for 6 months! If you don’t mind me asking, what’s the reason for not using it?

In Sweden where I'm based this is very common if you want your to car avoid salt, spikes from others tires and stone chips all over the front.

Fabulous, congratulations, like you I sold my lovely SLK 55 AMG partly to fund a house renovation , ( also partly as I wasn’t feeling brilliant at 74 ,then fixed with a pacemaker ) . Now the cash raised could easily be borrowed but the cost of a similar car ( if I could find one ) in the Uk now is just too high, I bitterly regret selling , hope in a year or so I might find myself another AMG

Thanks! That's actually the detailers that I sent it to. It needed the front bumper repainting, a new lower front grille and a replacement front led. The wheels were also painted anthracite when I bought it, but I got them refurbished back to original. Then they gave it a proper detail and gave it back to me. Really good job.

Nice car. I guess the mk1 is the real cult focus RS, but I made an assumption.

The mk3s are going up in price now. But yes, you're right, the mk1 really is the cult one. Lovely cars.
As you say, I prefer the c63
