New Owner (or should be on Thursday)

Hi, had a look around a number of forums & this one looks to be the one of the freindlier types. I should be picking up a 2007 C class CDI 220 on Thursday / Friday. 1st time of Merc ownership & really looking forward to it. Car ownership history started waaaaaaaaaaaaaay back with things like 2.3 HS Chevettes, Tickford Turbo Capri's, Escort RS1600's, renault 5 GT Turbos, motor bikes & then a slew of company rep mobiles for far too long & even recently a Fiesta mk7 1.6 zetec s. There will be loads of questions and I hope I can maybe offer something somehow to other users too. Never even driven an automatic so that should be "fun" just to start with . Thanks all & look forward to "speaking" with you through here in the future...

I remember the bikers have their nod & understand that BMW drivers have their "three types of coffee bean" hand movement as recognition of one of their own...

Thanks crockers but sadly no not yet . something to do with the private reg on it needing to be sorted, have been told it'll be tomorrow now.

Gah. What a nightmare, turns out the previous owner's lost the V5 (V50 or summat?), so my guy is having to wait for them to get it back from DVLA, then they'll have to send it on to us. Can't tax it till we get this, may not be till next Mon / Tues now.... My dealer's going spare (he's a persnal freind as well so I know he's not jerking me around) as he's already got a buyer for the car I'm trading in, both of us with crossed fingers!
Turbos - love 'em, grew up on 'em but remapping..the insurance on this thing is already going to be steep so no remapping here! Smudgelab & fingerprints lol, nothing so exciting I'm afraid . Dog's name & breed! Thanks very much all for the welcome messages too, they are appreciated. I will become a member of this elite clan! How embarassing is this, got the sodding MBUK sticker & no blimmin Merc' to put it in!
