New Owner (or should be on Thursday)

tsk, you two are slacking... just corrected that for you :D

:D We know exactly what we meant, pfft, Northern envy :D. Am just as proud to be a fully paid up member of The People's Republic of Yorkshire as I am to be a Brit! (Albeit welcoming & acknowledging the world renownd engineering mastery & craftsmanship of our German brethren!)
If my memory serves me correct, Noodle-Pulp is a displaced Tyke ;)

Aaaah, understood. Donny... No, Harrogate Sweetpea, it's just the way us residents say it. To counter the popular belief, we're not all blue rinses, twin set n pearls & handlebar moustaches  (although to be fair, I have seen women with all three described attributes in town ). It's bizzarre, as soon as you mention where you're from, the automatic response is a Kenneth William's style "Oh, I say" or Lesley Phillips' smooth n slow "ding dong":D. We were on holiday once & got talking to one lady in our hotel, she calls her her husband over from the other side of the pool & with all the histrionics & intonations of Penelope Keith at full tilt, shrieked "Dahling, you must come & meet my freinds, they're from The Yorkshires!" Coulda died but had to just remain very small & sheepish till she left us alone :(

Yorkshire born & Yorkshire bred, strong in the arm & ... Well, I just proved that right didn't I!? Doh, sorry:wallbash:

Wahoooooooo!! After a major amount of tooing & froing, time spent in the Leeds car tax site, manic phone calls & a lamp post almost falling on my old car due to the wind on the junction where the tax office is... It's here! In all it's sleek & svelte silver lovelyness :D Keep thinking of reasons to go out but now have enough, milk, bread, sausage rolls etc, etc to last a lifetime! Just one thing though, I've pressed more buttons than I care to imagine & hope it's just me being daft but I appear to have killed the central locking . Checked both batteries in the key fobs & they seem ok. For now, I've manged to use the slidey out key thing to lock the doors for the night. There is just no reaction from the car when I press either the top or bottom button on the key fob! Have I murdered my Merc already :(. I don't want to hassle the lad I bought it from tonight as he's been a top bloke in helping get the thing in my anticipatory little paws already... I will badger him in the AM if no fix here. Cheers...
