It’s an auto so yes it should be 7 gears.

Sooooo finally, Merry Christmas to me!!

I went ahead and purchased this E class:

This one

Went for a long test drive, spent about a good 40 mins looking over the car and found a few niggles which are going to be sort.

Drives really smooth, the interior is stunning and I am a very happy chap! Wife loves it too which is great as she is fussy lol

Thank you to all who helped me here in this post, looking forward to being part of the MB Club. Attached some pics that I took today too!

Hi folks,

I've just picked up my car and am super happy with it! But I just noticed a little bit of steam coming out of the bonnet at the front. It happened twice but when got home nothing. I checked but there is nothing obvious.

I know it would be hard to say but any ideas?

Also, how does one determine if it is the 7 or 7g auto box? I looked at all the info and didn't find it!

I know engine bay is grubby, I plan on cleaning that

No. It is the number you can see looking at the bottom of the windscreen from outside - passenger side. Probably starts WDBxxxxxxxxx

Should also be in the service book

Here is your datacard. I can't tell if you have 7g or 7g+. It is Option 427 and noted as 7 speed automatic transmission. Also says its a 722.908 transmission.
