Just reporting back after getting a £6 lead to adapt the 32pin round socket to OBD standard.

Seems to do the trick :

Codes are from my messing about over the weekend (I think). I'll see if any come back after a drive the car for a while.

Live data from the MAF is 0.00 - again I don't know if this is normal or not !

If anyone local wants to borrow this, no problem, just PM me.

Hi I'm looking for a code reader that can read live data rpm temps etc, and transmission data from a 38 pin does your do this?

What is the advantage to using the 32 pin output instead of the OBD port? I am curious as my MB specialist attaches his STAR via the OBD port.

My car has not got an OBD port - I believe the facelift has ?

I'm not sure on reading the gearbox data, only the above.

because he will not have an OBD port on a 97 car.

the 32 pin is the only plug he has.
