Had to replace the front passenger window after an attempted break in

the RAC guys couldn't get the auto roll up to work correctly after following the reset procedure. Basically, the one touch works, but when it gets to the top, rolls down again slightly.

any ideas???

If the window is too tight in the tracks then the window thinks that there is an obstruction and lowers again

pull switch on the first click & when the window closes fully while holding in position one, pull switch to position two for 5sec's this will sort it. :D

tried this a number of times without any joy

only can assume that this is the problem.

Maybe the frame is slightly bent resulting in resistance like Television states.

it might be worth spraying a little WD40 on the inside of the frame where the window glides just to see if it ease's it a little.

I had a similar problem with my son's Opel Corsa. The 'hold switch to reset' didn't work, and neither did removing the appropriate fuse as recommended by a Vauxhall newsgroup. The cure was to disconnect the battery for a couple of minutes and then perform the 'hold switch to reset' trick.

MB also say that some lubricant on the nylon runners helps that is PTFE or Silicon, they are both harmless invisible sprays

Done nothing - tried the window today and it now works fine! :D The RAC guy did say this might happen, sounds like voodoo to me!
