I have a bit of rubber trim missing on the curved bit of fixed rear window panel of my CLK .. it's about half the diameter of a straw and about 2 to 3 feet long ....

So, I went in today to get a new piece. Guess what??

You have to buy the whole damn metal trim bit as well, as they don't sell just the rubber bit!!! Price: £88 plus VAT = £103.40!!!!!

This really p****s me off, and is quite uncharacteristic of MB. Not to mention waste of resources.

I thought I needed to fit a new rubber seal round my hardtop last winter,
Dealer price was £570 for the seal ! no fitting labour cost on top yet!

hmmmmmmmmmmmm just as bad,and again not really like MB,but £55 for some seal round my sunroof, damn its only draught excluder, well that what i used and it does the trick........lmao

Plenty of examples.

Can't buy seperate rear spring for ML. You have to buy a complete damper spring unit. Very nice if you already run Bilsteins and the rear springs break (as usual)!

regards,

Job

Think there's someone making these rubber strips in the back of Mercedes enthusiast. Will try and have a look tonight and get a name.

if you're thinking www.forestfine.com, they only do trims for older models ...

I just checked ME but can't see any other supplier.

Thanks though!
