They do them HERE Or just google parking dynamics. They do two different systems; one of which is for vehicles with metal bumpers so make sure you get the right one.

I managed to fit mine myself so it must be pretty simple.

They consist of a foil strip that sticks behind the body work. A simple 'black box' that connects to the reverse lamp and an earth. Away you go...

The hardest bit is deciding which body panels to pull off and how to get the wiring from there to the tail lights.

As I said it is far from perfect and it gives off the odd false alarm; especially in the wet; but it does work OK.

Hello

Some lovely cars and using the SLR as a daily driver is great :)

Whats the Veyron like in terms of performance?

I've seen a you tube clip against the SLR and it makes the SLR look slow :)

If you ever need someone to house sit I'm your man :)

SLR Vs veyron is absolutely no compeition.

Once the veyron is warmed up i think it gives out about 1100bhp. 1000bhp is just the average.

The acceleration on the veyron, handling, and even brakin is alot better. Another thing with the SLR like all mercedes it is a bit tail happy.

i think you may have now become the forum's most popular member :D

superb collection of cars there!!! i'd echo everyone else and say no to parking sensors (i thought it would have them as standard though!?). opt for the number plate ones instead as already mentioned.

i think, on seeing your collection of cars, who cares how hard it is to fit - get a pro company to fit them for a nice neat installation.

P.S. MbManInKen might be busy now.... eek!!

Kam those are some nice cars you lot have there, my opinion on the parking sensors is you get the ones that come with the numberplate surround, i wouldnt want to be drilling any holes in that car.

I don't know anything about fitting parking sensors but I do know thats a set of amazing cars!

A rear view camera might be a better option which could fit in between the reversing lights in the rear grille area ?

Yeah i think the magnetic method is probably going to be best, or a number plate surround.

thanks for your help guys!

Oh and yes they are my dads cars, and i dont think i have given out a lot of information about myself, just number plates and i assume im going to get no cloning problems!

hello i wanted to fit some parking sensors on a mclaren SLR, but as the body is made out of carbon fibre i was wondering where to get these fitted? Mercedes said they wont fit it as a retrofit? :dk:

I will do it. You wont even be able to see the sensors.

I know Kahn have a bit of a reputation for messing up gorgeous cars with silly add ons , but they are experienced with working on these sort of cars , i bet they could fit them for you ...
