Parking sensors SLR

Is this a wind-up?

Anybody that can afford to have two hyper cars sitting on thier drive with a third just to keep them company SURELY can afford to get MB to fit them.

I wouldnt have considered anything less if I had those cars.

Who in their right mind would even THINK about doing anything like that DIY or by some third party beggers belief - with all due respects to the owner.............

hello i wanted to fit some parking sensors on a mclaren SLR, but as the body is made out of carbon fibre i was wondering where to get these fitted? Mercedes said they wont fit it as a retrofit?

Throw them enough money and I am sure they would do anthing you ask..............

I bet you could find a Mercedes garage somewhere that would do it.

Yeah i think the magnetic method is probably going to be best, or a number plate surround.

Oh and yes they are my dads cars, and i dont think i have given out a lot of information about myself, just number plates and i assume im going to get no cloning problems!

I agree no more info than can be seen when the cars are on the road.

Surely if his dad can afford such lovely motors he must be able to afford to pay someone to stand behind the car and guide him in to the space? There you go problem solved, no need for drilling after all!

You could put some in the black bit between the lights in the bumpers - looks like a 'replaceable' section and probably not carbon fibre.

Most MB dealers are scared to do any retrofits - theres no way they will go near the SLR bumper. You could try talking to maclaren though .. or MB World where they actually have SLR trained technicians ..

my w202 not need Parking sensor kit...but if i do i will go and buy the best one ..... if i have mony i will spend not show off ... have car but cant drive coz off fule ....or have dog cant lookafter or take fo walk etc.....any i sleep better to night coz i dont have to shop arund fo Parking sensor kit or driling etc....my w202 is best....good luck..
