Regards the parking sensors, have you looked at some of the American MB forums? The SLR is far more popular in the states than here, so the mod may have been attempted by someone.

I have never known private regs to turn up on DVLA. I have tried putting many footballers regs as they drive out of melwood many times and not even one has come up.
maybe we should just try and help him get what he wants and if we can't, then do not post.
This hercule poirot business is becoming a jealous vendetta. Can we all please post our regs/Vins so we can all cross check each others cars to see if we are all not telling porkies?

Personally i would advice you to use the Jml kit as it is transferrable and come resale time, it can be removed and transferred to another car so as not to dent the resale value of your SLR

Failing that, photos of the car(s) with todays newspaper or a loaf of hovis on the bonnet will do fine...

most of the car checking sites buy there info from the dvla which can be well out of date.

my reg still comes up on the congestion charge website as my old w203 which I got rid of 14 months ago.

So the two reg marks in question could be fairly recent additions and would therefore not show up on site like the RAC, myregcheck etc.
