Performance Filters On C180 96

I was just wondering replacing the filter, I need advise on which one of the direct replacment filter, i should get "Green Cotton" or "K & N" but are there any problems with these filter. Even tho' the car is slow but with shell optimax there is an improvement in performance (just Slight) anyway over the high octane petrol from sainsburys.

I know i need a bigger car (CANT AFFORD IT) Lord Help me Need more money

K&N can be overloaded with oil at first which can kill the MAF sensor.

I had a K & N and took it off after 5 minutes. The car was rubbish.
I then got a green cotton one and it was brilliant.
Just forgot to take it off the car when I sold it
