Pick up our first MB tomorrow!! (And already have a query...)

Hi All,

Just wanted to say hello to you all as we are about to collect our first MB tomrrow, and are very excited. We have opted for the C220CDI coupe and cant wait to get it home.

I had a question re. the handover process.....as its our first MB, i'm not sure what you would typically expect to get with a new MB? In the past (with other non exec makes) we have been given things like maintenance (polish, waxes etc) kits, and was just wondering what I should expect to be given (if anything?)

Hope it went well today. I got my first MB last month and the dealership (Sytner of Teeside) were great. Even though it was, essentially, a routine handover they made the whole event feel very special.

Check the car with a fine toothed comb for correct spec and any damage. We once rejected a brand new E class which came with a free parking dent in a place where a smart repair wasn't an option. The dealer refused to fast track through another car and tried to make us wait 3 months for another one. That was when BMW got the order instead.

You might be given some gifts but that is down to how the dealer values your current and future business potential. I spent 75k on an S Class and got nothing whatsoever. I also spent 75k on a Bentley and got a large umbrella, small umbrella, Ruinart champers, flowers, an indoor car cover and an outdoor cover for my other Bentley.
