Police Speed Camera Van Parked in Bus Stop

Any thoughts what he was doing?

Out looking for Burglars?

Going back to the Office after a 12 hour shift?

Delivering the car back to the Cops after service?

Heading to the Dohnut Shop?

Going to Court?

Contemplating how he was going to do the next job? (Tell someone their loved one had died?)

Looking for folks driving dangerously, but happy that the drivers around him were acting reasonably?

Listening to the Police Radio?

Who knows.

:D

nah, only got a few songs on that channel...
Roxanne...De do do do, de da da da..message in a NIP... etc
:p

On the M6 toll a couple or three weeks back and just south of the southbound toll there was a plod parked under the second (iirc) overpass with a handheld. Big wide pavement at that point and had Focus or Astra estate parked up at angle. Gantries were showing 50mph all lanes and I was doing 56 (on the Talex) and towing. Nothing through the door yet...WHEW.

after two weeks i think you are alright but with all the strike going on, who knows

I thought Police weren't allowed to strike.

<Rant mode on>The Plodd round here are always on strike, or so it seems. 14 cars broken into in one industrial estate, in one night, DNA taken, finger prints recorded and no collar felt. And they now want me to pay Council Tax  What the hell for, I get sod all services.<Rant mode off>

actually was refferring to the posties strike

AndI though it was only me that whined like a spin dryer .

Quite true though - I had a car lifted and no woodentop attended . I explained to them that the car was SORN and that my only concern was about number plate cloning - the level of disinterest was pretty astounding - if I had driven the thing with tax a day out I would be up for flogging .
Place is full of Polaks driving around drunk bumping into things and yet Plod doesn't seem to be able to do anything about it .

Cue Pickles,

It is my occupation to moan about things.

I agree with the lack of interest by the police, my brothers stepson caught a guy breaking into his car a month ago, when he grabbed the guy, the guy threatened him with a gun, so his girlfriend called the police straight away, and they sent round a slow response officer......8 hours later.

As for the cameras and variable speed limits on the M42, I think they are just being sarcastic, because whenever I use that stretch, I am lucky to get over 20mph

They used to park in a vacant shop's car park near a dual carriageway that is a 30 in Hull, I noticed that after I rang the property management company to notify them of the probable trespass and unauthorised use they stopped doing that and now use a public, council owned, car park.

No average checks that I`m aware of, I`ve been up and down the Toll (at a spirited pace), several times a week for over a year and haven`t been done. However for the first time ever today I saw an unmarked cop car, he`d pulled over a turquoise C220 this morning, and a silver Pug 407 this afternoon. It was a dark blue Volvo S80, reg VX07 GXP, double passenger wing mirrors and double interior rear view mirror. Keep you eyes peeled!!!;)

people do get nicked on the M6 Toll...

Mr Speedy the police chief said:
On the day in question, the driving and road conditions were good, and I was part of a group of around 15 cars all doing around the same speed

it would be very very interesting to know the fate of the other 14 drivers if they were caught as well
