C63 Coupe PPP in black
I'm really struggling to clarify something before I conclude the purchase of a C63 coupe. Could someone please clarify whether a 12/12 C63 coupe with PPP (registered 1/3/12 apparently but Glass's guide declares it as MY2011 if that means anything?) has the updated MCT gearbox or the old 7g. I can't determine categorically which one it should have - information on the web, ESPECIALLY advertisements for cars for sale, is very contradictory. Some articles refer to the new gearbox being introduced in 2011, yet plenty also seem to make reference to the 7g version on a 2012 car so I'm really unsure! All advice greatly appreciated. Thank you

Deed is done. 62 plate c63 coupe, with pp, purchased today from Mercedes York. Can't wait to pick it up in a week or so, if only to hear the noise it makes when it starts up. I'm too old to be this excited....... Once a petrol head, always a petrol head. I blame my father.

Nice...also regarding 7G or MCT the Coupe was only ever in facelift so came with the MCT etc so you would be good regardless...enjoy the new car.

:ttiuwp when you get it, obviously.

The forum was kind enough to give me some advice when I was considering the purchase of a C63 coupe, so I thought I'd give a quick update.

I've been lucky enough to have owned some nice cars in recent years, though everything has been measured against a V10 BMW M5 since I sold that car a few years ago. You all will, I suspect, know that feeling when you love walking towards YOUR car in the car park, or when you look back at it as you walk away from just having parked it.

I've had my C63 coupe for 3 weeks. OMG. The way it sounds, looks, stops is just ace. The way it accelerates up to 4500 rpm is magnificent - the way it accelerates beyond 4500 rpm is, frankly, outrageous.

Fuel economy is interesting - careful driving reaps its rewards, albeit temporarily, but I knew what I was getting into and I don't suppose I'll be saving the planet soon.

You know you're in the right car when you look forward to driving to work the next day. I have my motoring mojo back.

HI. Its great feeling owning a C63, I've had mine three weeks tomorrow and just cant get enough of it, the old girl loves a tipple like you said, but I only do about 100 miles a week.so not too bad:thumb:
enjoy and have fun.:D

Have to agree, only car I have ever been excited to get up for work in the morning just to start it and drive it. I am so looking forward to the warmer weather so I can give it some!
On my radar, soon to be done, remap, LSD and secondary decats, hope it justs get better lol
