Post your Miles per Tank (overall MPG)

Managed to get 35mpg out of my old banger. :D

(well, 210 miles from £30 fuel @ 109.9p/litre.)

Crikey, that's good, have you been taking maths lessons..?

I meant the working it out was good..

All I went on is a gallon being a fiver, always done that even when prices were cheaper or dearer....

Shame it didn't cost £1.3 a litre then. You'd have got 41mpg then.

See fuel prices going up is a good thing, makes your car go further on a gallon.

Womans logic..Pah.

E240 V6 5 speed auto

open run, constant motorway speeds on cruise control = 28mpg
(Avensis 1.8 4 cylinder, 4 speed auto does about 44mpg under the same circumstances)

School run - urban about 7 miles round trip X 2 = 19mpg

so not great.

Mine does 29.83 MPG, this is for last 2 years doing 10k a year, 30-35% on motorway, the rest is town driving, quite heavy right foot.
204k on the clock, still going strong.

20.5 MPG on my last tank of fuel.

Why do 202's not have a trip computer, my ancient mk2 and my mk3 golf did?!

Golf R32
220-240 miles to a tank works out to 18.9 MPG average (all short journeys!)

Golf TDI
450-500 miles to a tank works out to 53 MPG average (all short journeys!)

Gina's W202 C230K was about 21 MPG (all short runs)

m3 csl 198miles for £70 super unleaded ! wish i still had the e55:wallbash:

E230
240 miles until the light comes on.
22-24mpg, 2 or 3 mile trips only.
I managed 34mpg at 70ish.

W124 E320 Coupe 60 litre tank (£75 fill up!!!!)
commute to work 10 miles per day stop start traffic 230 miles per tank
last trip to Le Mans all motorway crusining speeds (Cherbourg-Arnage) 350 miles on a tank.

Car Make / Model: eg, Mercedes 200TE W124 auto
Tank Range: what is says on the trip (500)
Fuel to fill up in Litres or Gallons: 45 litres
Actual Mpg : if you have worked it out (not computer mpg)

Thought it may be interesting....

300CE-24
800-ish KM - 500 miles
er, lots. About 80 litres but can't remember.
28 to 30 mpg

This I calculated quite accurately on 3 separate trips, as follows:

Home in France to Tesco at Ashford, Kent - Total 95 SP (unleaded) - 30 mpg

Ashford/Leeds/Ashford etc. and back to Tesco - Tesco 99 unleaded - 28 mpg

Ashford to Home - Tesco 99 unleaded - 29 mpg

Since that time and several price rises, I have ceased to calculate costs; it's too depressing. The only grounds for optimism are that the car's going better now in most respects, it's mine so there's no debt and depreciation is a thing of the past.

Er, that's it!

E320cdi (in line 6cyl 2003) Computer shows 36.3 over last 4500 miles local and a few trips, but on two long trips to Italy and back, about 2500 miles each door to door, average on 1st was 40.3, on second was 40.1 so I'm pleased, cruising at 85ish with full load and aircon. Considering a re-map that as well as more BHP and Torques should increase fuel economy by10/20%. Anyone any experience of this 'upgrade'?

1988 420sl

70litres - 300 miles at best (and ouch inducing 19.5 miles per gallon)

725 with room to spare.

80 litre tank worked out at 46.99mpg (computer said 46.9), that's a theoretical 826 miles in the tank!

Hoping to get 800 one day if I'm feeling lucky!

Regards, Neil

^ My dads E320cdi S211 which I now own did register over 1000miles on the range when he filled up in Dover having had a flat and running on the spare wheel @ 56mph. His has the higher capacity fuel tank option.

He saw 60mpg at one stage :)

So far 40mpg is my best.
