Pressure washer recommendation

i have a dewalt petrol jetwash from b&q i use for my job driveway and patio cleaning, its fantastic, try to avoid kartcher as ive been through 5 of these and for heavy use they always seem to spring leaks or just stop!!! avoid the £150 petrol washers on ebay as well as they have crappy engines that use lots of oil and dont last very long at all! get it from b&q as you get three years warranty, if it goes wrong you just take it back and they swap it the same day for annother one! get a spinner nozzel as it makes all the difference! good luck.

oh...nilfisk are ok, but none of the parts are interchangeable and the pump is bosh. if it has to be electric, then b&q and kartcher! it will last you a year so keep the reciept as it will go wrong!!! but they are very good when they work, bit plastic though!!! push for the dewalt though, trust me, its a really great bit of kit well made. (and no i dont work for b&q!)

Jukie, your best bet is to plead for another £49 and get the Nilfisk P150 recommended by Ringway.

Will be getting the Credit Card out me self later! :D

BTW Ringway can you get a Snow Foam attachment for the above machine or does what come with it suffice for Car cleaning?

Yes a snow foan bottle is available. I got mine from Autobrite in Stoke and IIRC it's called a Gilmour Gun. Solid piece of kit with brass fittings, but not cheap - around £45 I think.

One thing I have got for my machine that is very useful is a "GUZUNDER". I'm not sure where you might get one online but they are fantastic for cleaning under wheel arches, in behind alloy wheels (be careful not to damage). Good for cleaning the roof on the van and can get into tight corners.

The fitting is variable from wide fan to the viscious pencil jet and the head adjusts through quite a range.

You should be able to get one of these for around £35.
I had mine made with a short shaft because it will fit on either part of the two-part lance with the Nilfisk, so it's long enough. Take care not to fire it towards yourself though!

The Turbo Lance on the Nilfisk is in effect a rotating pencil jet, so it is capable of causing damage. I'd say not to get any closer than 18" to paintwork with that.

i agree with the last bit, ive damaged wheels using the turbo nozzel and flaked a bit of paint off my van where it had a small stone chip! not good, use with caution!!!
