As title suggests,

Would one of these be suitable to fit on a om605 engine as its a bugger to start again after touching the fuel system!!

Just thinking it would help in future with servicing, while also saving the battery and starter!!

10mm Fuel Primer Bulb Petrol Diesel inline non return | eBay UK

I was thinking of one of them, but it says only suitable for low pressure systems, i know these are not cdi pressure but would that be ok on my car, or would it be restrictive?

Any Ideas welcomed!!

Will this be any good for this car?

Thanks

personally i wouldnt bother. fix any airleaks or tank vacuum and you shouldnt have problems.

i had a host of issues recently so replaced all the clear pipes and orings, cleaned the tank breather and everything is now hunky dory (until next time!)

Ive replaced all hoses at the engine end, all clear pipes the 2 rubber ones (feed and return), all leak off pipes and both filters.

Where is the tank breather?

Car runs and starts alright now, can see bubbles in the fuel lines sometimes, but it starts first time, so as long as it stays as it is, i should be ok!

I am still yet to find out if a 202 c250 has a tank strainer, i have tried looking for it, but cant really see above the diff (if that is where its meant to be??) , also the MB parts man is adament they never went on 202s, and i have looked on epc and it say 'part not designated' or whatever it says!

The thing what i am worried about, is when changing the filters, even when i fill it up with diesel, it will flatten a good battery starting it, so i dont want to kill my battery or started motor.

As long as you fill the filter and the fuel system is in good order it will fire up OK.
For ongoing air leaks after changing the clear pipes check the rubber to metal pipe connection at he rear of the engine bay and check the fuel heater.

primer bulb

Hi I have had and fixed a few air leaks on my C250 TD and if you look on this thread http://www.mbclub.co.uk/forums/engine/108376-c250-td-help-needed.html you can just see the hand primer I fitted, it wont stop the air leak problems but its handy when you have done work to the system and need to re-fill the system with fuel...£5 on ebay...hope this helps
