One of my drivers turned up to Silverstone on Friday in his new AMG powered toy. I hadn't seen one before and as there are only six RHD ones, I guess that's not too suprising. The car has exquisite detail and the biggest, most spangly AMG Mercedes engine known to man!:D
Can you tell what it is yet?;)

did you get a go in it?

That's just a clue! We need the full title for any points!:)
No I haven't had a go in it yet, we were somewhat busy racing, but with 100kgs less and 60bhp more than a Jaguar XJ220 I'm guessing it will be somewhere between that and a Mclaren F1.:thumb:
I have driven both of those!

My faverourite car of all time. I would love to have a drive of one.

Looks like the new 'Zonda Roadster Cinque'

Is there not a "Pigani" somewhere in the title?
 I hope you meant PAgani! :)

Mac, is it the the Monza version?

Tut! was gonna mention Top Gear..... bit late now :(

The look on the Hamsters face tells you what this car is all about!
Mad as a box of frogs and practical as a chocolate teapot....but who cares!:bannana:
But fancy only having little 20" rear wheels...pah!;)

 Shocking isn't it! LOL! Actually, when I was at WIM there was a Ferrari being worked on and it had NARROWER wheels/tyres than my new rear ones! :bannana: And, my mate who's just bought a Boxster (lovely car!) has narrower ones too! As I said to him only yesterday, "mines bigger than yours!" LOL!

I guess he didn't ruin his fuel effeciency ;)

But would you notice in that?:o
It will be back to 'little' 18" winter wheels for me this month.

I think I might have seen that Zonda on the M6 a while ago. Can't be that many of them about in that colour. Maybe its the one for sale at Broughtons.

I guess it was the one for sale a Broughtons! The current owner traded his Konieseigggg...(or whatever!) for it:eek:
Just another everyday P/ex deal!
The after service was quite good too. The drivers window wouldn't go up the final inch on Friday, so a service engineer was at Silverstone within a very short time and arrived in a Spyker! On the phone to factory in Italy and problem solved within minutes:D
Just like proper Mercedes service then....

Ok, so the Merc-related geek part is thus- the car uses an (albeit modified) M120 V12 engine, as used on W140 s-class and 129SL of the same era :o

I don't understand why the Jag wins, if the Zonda has an engine twice the size of the Jag's, why does the Jag win? surly it isn't lighter?
Engine size doesn't matter that much ... it's the power that counts. The Jag's V6 has twin turbos and gives 542 bhp and 645 Nm.

As an older car the Jag could conceivably be a bit lighter - no side impact beams etc.

In a short drag like that the gearing also comes in to it.
